Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actress, performer, and writer, best recognized in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV show Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage role in the 50s. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions, before becoming famous in the national stage space with Li'l Abner' in the year 1957. She also released her first album of music, It's Time For Tina in the same year. Louise made her foray into Hollywood as Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a drama film released 1958.The movie received wide acclaim and Louise was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. In the years prior to this she was a student at the Actors Studio of New York. Lee Strasberg was her instructor. In 1964, she signed to CBS as a character, Ginger Grant. Louise had a successful career in Hollywood as well as Broadway, playing somber characters to counter her image of glamorous doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. She has also appeared in SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in the past few years has earned a reputation for herself as a director of popular TV shows like Supernatural. Her family relocated out of Essex to Toronto in the year she was born, and there she resided for childhood and adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver and Canada, following her decision for the role of lead.
