Ina-Garten
Ina Garten is an acclaimed American writer of cook books for many years. Ina is also the Emmy-winning host of Food Networks longest running show Barefoot Contessa and began its run in 2002. Ina began her career working at the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy reports. While she initially found the work intellectually stimulating she eventually lost interest. So she purchased an Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food store. It took her 18 years to make the store extremely successful before letting it go and grabbing a pen to begin writing her first cookbook. Then, a number of cookbooks were published, and she also contributed to magazine articles. Her Food Network television program also debuted and quickly became popular. In addition, she sells all kinds of cooking equipment, tools and storage containers. Ina did not go to an institution for cooking or was she employed in a dining establishment. She is entirely self-taught. Her name is associated with her casual approach to making food and hosting. Her most well-known recipes include Skillet and Roasted Lemon Chicken Mac and cheese, Beef bourguignon, Mac and cheese, Beatty's Chocolate Cake, and Lemon Bars.
